Move your sights here now. We are going to take you to see some info about FFXIV Open Beta here. Follow me.
Players who have longed for a chance to play Final Fantasy XIV and haven’t been selected for the game’s beta yet can take heart. The open beta will begin on August 31st, and players are already able to begin downloading the client. (With the latest patch at 1.24 gigabytes, we do mean “begin downloading.” It’ll be a while.) That means that you can see for yourself whether the outraged reaction to the fatigue system is entirely deserved, along with any other questions you might have about gameplay.
As has been the pattern for the game’s testing, the newest build includes several updates to UI functionality and the implementation of further core features, although it’s still unclear if this version is the same as the release version due out in a bit less than a month. Chat modes and friend list features have been implemented, as well as a further listing of emotes for various situations. FFXIVCore has put together a decent list of the beta changes, something that should be of interest to the many Final Fantasy XIV hopefuls due to start trying the game soon.

EVE Online time now. Catch more eve info here. Are you ready? Go.
The EVE Evolved column has been home to dozens of in-depth guides on various aspects of EVE Online. Over the past two years, I’ve written multi-part guides to many industrial and PvP-oriented topics. On the topic of research and development, we’ve covered tech 1 research, invention, reverse engineering and five top tips for researchers. Perhaps more useful was the three part series on trading, which first covered the basics before delving into advanced trading strategies and a few useful tips. Other guides which have proven popular among newer players included our three-part guide to mission-running, and the recent three-page guide to exploration. More >

The new trailer of Aion Inggison Zone which is set to debut with the launch of the Assault on Balaurea update later next month has released now.
Click the above image to watch the Aion Inggison Zone trailer.
Inggison is the Elyos foothold in Balaurea, the home of Aion’s third major (and fully NPC) faction, the Balaur, which are a main focus of the new update. The zone is replete with flora and fauna entirely alien to that found in Atreia, however, travelers should take care, as the beauty of Ingisson’s wildlife can be deceptive: these creatures don’t mess around.
Other dangers await Elyos players who explore Ingisson, such as the Balaur-worshippers of Undirborg, and the Balaur who are defending their Drana at Mephistis Farm. Of course, those silly Asmodians will also be around, vying for control of the Temple of Scales and Avarice Fortresses.

Friend, welcome here, folks. As Final Fantasy XIV expansion draws closer. More and more guides and databases information posted for players by sites all over the place. A few sites (ZAM being one we believe) have been able to pull information from the game itself (data mining) to populate their databases. Sadly, Square Enix seems to be asking sites that pull their data from the game directly to take the information down. Luckily there is an alternative, players can figure out information themselves and post about it online.

Crafting Databases:
If you are getting started with one of the crafting (Disciplines of the Hand) professions, it’s good to know what recipes are available to you. A few sites are working to collect this information for you.

Welcome here, buddies. Some EVE fans are complaining about lag. Throughout the game’s seven-year history, developers and server engineers have waged a constant battle against the lag monster. Frequent upgrades and code overhauls have ensured that the capacity of each server cluster increased at pace with the growing subscriber numbers. When the Dominion expansion came, something in it caused lag to get a lot worse. The issue has yet to be corrected and has even spurred some players to put media pressure on CCP to correct the issue.

Until recently, the developers at CCP had been very quiet on the topic of lag and their efforts to combat it. Aside from the occasional fleet-fight mass testing event on the test server and the news that there was actually an entire team dedicated to lag, players were left largely in the dark as to what was being done to address the issue. In the absence of strong evidence to the contrary, many players began to assert that EVE’s developers weren’t working on lag at all. Earlier this week, we posted that CCP was planning a series of devblogs on lag to showcase the progress it’s made. In a surprisingly rapid turn-around, four devblogs on lag and another on CCP’s core technology groups have already been posted. They cover such topics as server scalability, the results of recent mass testing events, and CCP’s new “thin client” testing tool.
In this week’s EVE Evolved, I introduce each of CCP’s four recent devblogs on lag with a quick summary. More >

Blizzard snuck in another beta build last night, and it was more than a little exciting for the balance druid side of the world. Although I wouldn’t say that druids or balance in particular were the “primary” focus of this build, as paladins have been in the past few builds while Blizzard fixes the new holy power mechanic, it certainly held quite a number of changes that we’ve been looking forward to for a long time. I’ve dawdled on long enough, though, so let’s just get right on with it.
